Origin[]
Argus Inc. was a detective agency that consisted of Nick Proust and Al Blemer.
Their newspaper ad stated: “Have you a problem? Have you lost your ration-book? Have your gasoline coupons been stolen? Have you been victimized by blackmailers? Bring your problems to Nick Proust and Al Blemer who solve anything. Satisfaction guaranteed. Argus, Inc.”
In their only published adventure, Nick and Al discover a dead body while trying to help a young boy find his missing puppy. They were falsely suspected of committing the crime by Inspector Dykes, but eventually they are able to clear their good names and prove the true killer was Carl the Janitor all along.
