Origin

Arsène Lupin was a gentleman thief who enjoyed participating in criminal activities, but generally did not resort to violence and usually targeted worse criminals than himself.

A master of his craft, Arsène later matched wits with Sherlock Holmes himself (though Holmes would appear under pseudonyms such as Herlock Sholmes or Holmlock Shears due to a cease and desist from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to Leblanc.) Later still, he was made a member of Sherlock's Society of Infallable Detectives.
