Astronians are an aggressive humanoid race from Astron Delta. When their planet began to undergo a cataclysmic Ice Age as a result of their dying sun, they were driven underground and forced to adapt to the dimming light of their environment, evolving into large eyed troglodytes.
Utilizing magnetically-pulled ships that travel across electron bridges spanning across the galaxy, they invaded other planets - including Earth. In the mid-20th century, they built advanced underground bunkers beneath the Earth’s surface to monitor and collect data on humanity’s nuclear arsenal. Utilizing the accumulated radiation absorbed from atomic bomb tests above, they breed giant alien insects and reptiles in subterranean menageries, which they planned to unleash against humanity to take control of the planet.
Astronian weapons fire deadly Gamma Rays. Their leader is a powerful telepath called the 'Tala', who has the capability to scan and wipe peoples' memories as well as hypnotize them.
