Origin[]
Balogna is a Barcelonian guitarist who pines for the affection of a beautiful woman known as the Barcelona Baby - the Barcelona Baby, who nicknames him "Bull-ogna", insists that she will take his affection seriously if he can win a bullfight, leading Balogna to try and learn the sport, first practicing with a living mounted head of a retired bull, before seeking out a live bull in the wild, promising to put it on a Bull Durham commercial (a 20s era pop-culture reference to a now-defunct tobacco company that used bulls in promotional materials) if it lets him win - on the day of the big fight, Balogna is almost defeated in a curb stomp, realizing that the bull's promise was - in the film's own words - "bull", and attempts to surrender, though the bull refuses to back down, leading Balogna's attention to be drawn to stray screw on the ground, just barely in reach while he's being crushed by the bull, which he prompty sticks into the bull's behind, allowing him to deliver a sucker punch and win the heart of the Barcelona Baby.
