Inspector Bentley of Scotland Yard was an investigator who regularly fought "supernatural" menaces who usually turned out to be common criminals wearing costumes such as the Hunchback Horror, the Dancing Ghost, the Mayfair Monster, the Terror of the Rocky Pool or the Tarantula.

Bentley used his skills in Jiu-Jitsu and carried a sturdy cane to fight criminals with.
