The BLA as they appeared in Issue #4 of Go-Go Comics.

Bestest League of America, called the BLA for short, was a superhero team who were described as foes of injustice and enemies of evil. Their motto was "One for All and All for Wonderous Woman."

In Alter Ego #1, the members originally consisted consisted of Lean Arrow, , Aquariuman, Martian Manhandler, Cash, Wondrous Woman, and Green Trashcan with Superham and Wombatman mentioned as fringe members as well. In Go-Go Comics #4, the members I.P.O.M. and Aukman were each added to the team roster as well and were shown as allies of as well Blooperman who could signal them by whistling.

When Badman and Robber the Boy Plunder kidnapped Blooperman and used a hypnosis spray developed by Badman to turn the hero into a criminal like them, the Bestest League of America overwhelmed the criminals and sent the pair of criminals to jail as well as saved Blopperman in the process.

After the super heroes go on strike, Blooperman was unaware and saves an airplane only to be reprimanded by the BLA. He was also absent during the BLA's fight against the Marvelous Heroes and continues to be on strike even after the President and Comics Code put an end to the strike. This lead to the police arresting him for defying the orders of the president.

Public Domain Appearances[]

  • Alter Ego #1-2
  • Go-Go Comics #4-6

Notes[]

  • The character is an obvious spoof of JLA.
  • The BLA's appearances in Go-Go Comics are in the public domain thanks to a lack of a proper copyright notice (any work published without one between 1923 and 1977 immediately entered the public domain).
