Betty Boyd was a reporter for the National Press, who was happy to solve crimes and bring in the bad guys herself before she reported the story. Betty was friends with a rival reporter named Buddy, who wanted to marry Betty and referred to her as "The Texas Terror."
Betty carried a .38 automatic pistol in her handbag and had a reputation in the underworld for having deadly accurate aim. She also claimed to be a former college athlete and demonstrated unusual athletic prowess.
She faced villains such as Chuck Morgan, Harvey Thatcher, Brown, and Knockout.
