Origin[]
The Birds are characters who debuted in Springtime, a Silly Symphonies animated Disney short film released October 24, 1929.
In the cartoon, flowers, ladybugs, centipedes, birds, and frogs dance in time to the usual blend of themes from the classical music such as "Morning Mood" from Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt, Franz von Blon's "Whispering Flowers", Amilcare Ponchielli's music for "Dance of the Hours" and Jacques Offenbach's "Gaîté Parisienne".
