Origin[]
"From revolution-wracked Spain, from the distant battlefronts of China, from the green wastes of South-American [sic] jungles have come these men who make up the toughest squadron ever seen in the RAF...reckless, tough, undisciplined, they can be managed only by one man--Captain Logan Black.--Thus their name, the Black Sheep Squadron."
Captain Black was tough leader even willing to punch out Gunner Wilson, a pilot who stayed out too late the night before a planned reconnaissance flight. The Squadron operated in Britain and fought against the German airplanes trying to bomb it.
