Origin[]
Five boys: Jackie Law, Buck, Corny, Gorilla and Froggy form a kid-gang who fought crime.
United by the tragic loss of Jackie's father, brutally murdered by loan sharks, the five friends decided to fight crime, swearing to protect law and order with their own means. Sewing an "R" on their football uniforms, they assumed the identity of the Boy Rangers and began patrolling the streets, taking on criminals with a brutality that was impressive for boys their age.
Although they faced everything from common criminals to Nazi spies and saboteurs, the group was known for their direct and violent approach, often confronting enemies with clubs, improvised tools and their fists. Despite their commitment to bringing justice, their actions often bordered on revenge. In their first appearance, they left a macabre note next to the brutally beaten bodies of Jackie's father's killers, warning that criminals would face the wrath of the Boy Rangers.
In a rare foray into the fantastic, the Rangers encounter Loco, a piloted giant robot developed by a patriotic scientist and coveted by German spies. The robot, operated by the boys through its limbs and torso, gave the group a brief period of mechanized adventure.
