Brutus is a fictional, mean and cruel dentist who enjoys causing harm towards others ever since he was a little boy.
In the early days of the comic strip, Thimble Theatre was focused around Olive Oyl, Ham Gravy, and others playing roles in different comedic stage-plays, with a description at the top indicating what role they were assigned. In this instance (December 24, 1919), they both played the parents of Brutus while Brutus was played by an individual named Willy Waffle.
