Origin[]
The Candy Man of Merryland is an important personage in the Valley of Bonbons. He and his wife live in the largest house with their son, Huyler, and several servants, including Aunt Lowney and Allegretti.
The Candy Man is short and fat, and wears a tall hat, swallow-tail coat, and tight breeches. He has bones made of stick candy, and his flesh is marshmallow. He walks with a candy cane, and carries a shaker of powdered sugar with which he coats himself to prevent melting or sticking. He has no teeth, since he eats nothing but candy.
The Candy Man once visited the Emerald City in the Land of Oz with the Queen of Merryland to celebrate Princess Ozma's birthday.
