Origin[]
Captain Ahab is the villainous protagonist of Moby-Dick, and the captain of the Pequod. On a whaling voyage, he had one of his legs bitten off by a giant whale titled Moby Dick, and as such wears a prosthetic. He also bears a scar on his face, though its origins are ambigious. He is driven by an insane desire for revenge against the non-sapient whale, and sets off on a voyage, offering to reward the shipmate who first notices the whale. When the whale is eventually tracked down, Ahab fires his harpoon, but is strangled by its line, and dragged down into his undersea demise.
