Golden Age Origin
Captain Tootsie was a superhero that was pretty unique in that he was a character created to advertise a product. He would always need to consume a Tootsie Roll for a sudden boost of energy in whatever task he needed to perform.
He had a sidekick, a boy named Rollo, and two other young cohorts named Fatso and Fisty.
Notes
- As the character of Captain Tootsie was originally an advertisement (which does not require renewal), the character himself is NOT public domain. However, his comic book apearances are. Thus, they can be re-printed, re-modelled, re-written, etc... so long as the character himself is changed (much like some Green Lama stories have been re-printed with the newly imagined, yet very similar, characters of Green Jet or Magga the Magnificent taken his place).
