Origin[]
The Champion Mouse Catcher is a cat who was recently adopted into a barn, as his name would suggest, he is a ruthless mouse catcher with razor sharp claws, having killed a chunk of Herman's relatives and deprived the rest of cheese - Herman consistently outsmarts the mouse catcher and allows his relatives to get their cheese, and eventually kills him and his other 8 lives, before being chased away by their vengeful spirits.

Notes[]
- The Champion Mouse Catcher would eventually be named Katnip (not to be confused with the Disney character), and would appear in the Herman & Katnip cartoons, which have been noted as being more violent than other predator-and-prey cartoon acts like MGM's Tom & Jerry, and have been cited as an inspiration for The Simpsons' fictional cartoon-within-a-cartoon, Itchy & Scratchy.
