The Creeping Terror is a large, slow-moving gastropod-like creature that crash-landed on Earth in Angel County, California sometime in the mid-20th Century. The beast moves around on a long slug-like foot, possessing a head covered in many writhing tentacles (possibly eye stalks) and a big, gaping vertical mouth lined with sharp teeth on the front of its body, capable of devouring whole human beings.
The creature is invulnerable to firearms and appears to be capable of immobilizing its prey from a distance, keeping them in place long enough for it to eat. However, they are vulnerable to damage on the inside.
It is speculated that the creature was designed to be a living laboratory of sorts, trained to consume life on other planets, analyze their chemicals to detect weaknesses, and transmit the acquired information into outer space via spacecraft to its unknown masters. It is unknown if their planet is still in existence.
