Origin[]
Chief Red Eagle, leader of a band of rogue Apaches, plans to attack the United States Army fort nearby. Colonel Moresby, who has signed a treaty with the tribe lead by Chief Swift Arrow, is the manager of the fort.
In planning, Red Eagle tells his warriors that Swift Arrow must killed because of his friendship with the white man. Crooked Antler who has earlier borne the shame of defeat at Swift Arrow's hands, vows to kill Swift Arrow. At the battle for the fort, Swift Arrow and Red Eagle meet in a struggle. Taking his chance, Crooked Antler throws a battle stick at Swift Arrow. The weapon misses, knocking out Red Eagle instead. Colonel Moresby shoots Crooked Antler, killing him.
