Origin[]
"Abandon all hope, all ye who enter my domain, of ever leaving!" These are the words spoken to Dr. Albert Carlton upon arriving in the afterlife.
Dr. Albert Carlton wants to explore the afterlife. He uses a pill to die for 15 minutes. At the end of 15 minutes, Carlton has arranged to return to life when Dr. Clode turns on a resuscitation machine. In the afterlife, Carlton finds himself being ferried in a boat to the afterlife by Death.
Once there, he is found out as a trespasser by Death's black-robed assistants. He is not on the record of expected arrivals. He is tortured by a variety of supernatural creatures. He is eventually locked away, dashing his plans of catching the ferry back to the living. He is released, being told that his presence is desired at the dock.
At the dock, he taunts death while the boat docks. He sees Dr. Clode get off the ferry, and realizes his miscalculation. Dr. Albert Carlton is to remain in the afterlife with Dr. Clode.
