In 1960, Lt. Richard “Dick” Jones, a naval officer stationed on Monango Island, is assigned to rescue Jane Wells—the governor’s daughter and possibly his girlfriend—after she is kidnapped by the notorious undersea pirate known as the Steel Shark. The Steel Shark commands a technologically advanced submarine armed with flux-ray guns and equipped with futuristic communication devices like the “fluro-vox.” Jones’s mission is to confront this high-tech menace, rescue Jane, and bring the Steel Shark to justice.
