Origin[]

Dr. Destructo is an arch-criminal and Colonel Bleep's nemesis. It all began when Bleep successfully captured the doctor and imprisoned him in a space bubble shaped like a prison cell chained above Saturn's rings. His position as a prisoner did not last too long once Destructo found a way to escape and return to his duties as a mad scientist. Since his jailbreak, Dr. Destructo vowed to get revenge against Bleep and his deputies, Squeak and Scratch. Although he has plotted numerous schemes to overpower his enemies, the doctor always fails against his arch-rivals.

Destructo formerly resided in a lair built on one of the mountains of Jupiter's twelfth moon. His current home is in a tall fortress built in Pluto. This is where he works on his newest inventions, watches over his enemies, and provides shelter for his minions, such as Bruto the Black Robot, a giant vampire bat, and Grizzo the gorilla.

Powers[]

Destructo's most used ability is his scientific intellect. With that capability, Destructo has developed numerous weapons, such as bombs, the Lunar Luger (a gravity gun powered with lunar energy), and the Rust-o-Spray. Despite being a scientist, Dr. Destructo is also capable of the magic arts, such as making something or someone invisible or summoning objects with just one spell from his hands.

Trivia[]

  • Having worn a hood for most of the series, it is unknown what exactly is Destructo's species other than resembling a humanoid alien.
  • In the YouTube series, Rangoon Rifflets, Destructo has been reffered as a "space wizard" by the lead hosts Starchibald and Sunny Jim, considering that the doctor is capable of the magic arts.
  • He shows resemblance to the Disney villain, the Phantom Blot.
  • In the second volume of the Colonel Bleep VHS collection, it is written that Dr. Destructo had join forces with Bruto, Black Patch, and the Black Knight of Pluto. In the series, however, it is shown that Destructo has never really worked with these villains all together.
    • Although Destructo and the Black Knight both reside in Pluto, there is no restored episode in which the two have interacted with one another.
    • His servants Bruto and Grizzo had worked with Black Patch and the Black Knight, occasionally.
