After Tony Brand finds that Gail Leslie has been kidnapped by The Living Ghost, he goes to Dr. Vandyke for help. The doctor tells him of The Living Ghost and gives him an ancient church relic, a petrified olive branch, which has the ability to render ghost mortal.
