- The newspaper comic strip Joe Jinks created by Vic Forsythe and distributed by United Feature Syndicate. The strip began in 1918 as Joe's Car and was renamed Joe Jinks in 1928, emphasizing Jinks’s role as Dunn’s manager. In 1934, it became Joe Jinks Featuring Dynamite Dunn, highlighting Dunn’s presence.
- In 1944, the Leff brothers, Sam and Mo Leff, replaced Dunn with a new boxer, Curly Kayoe. On December 31, 1945, the strip was retitled Curly Kayoe, with Sam Leff writing and inking and Mo Leff handling the pencils.
