El Carim was a master of the mystical arts. He was visited by the spirit of Wizzar, the father of all magic, who gives him a magic cloak. He uses his cloak and backwards-recited magic to fight criminals and evildoers assisted by the lovely Gladys. His nemesis was Olbaid.
In his final appearance, El Carim aided Balbo the Boy Magician and his father. Balbo took over El Carim's spot in Master Comics from that point onward.
