Golden Age Origin
The Faceless Phantom, was the first opponent ofthe heroic Doc Strange. Like Strange, he had created a formula that gave him just super strength & durability, but not as much as Doc Strange. The Phantom wore a skull mask and was seemingly killed at the end of his 1st battle with Doc Strange. However, he later returned with an improved formula that equaled Doc's original. Though unknown to the villain, Doc had upgraded his own formula so that he could now fly. The Phantom couldn't fell from an airplane while battling Doc.
