Captured by Spurs Jackson for his Spaceranch in Spaceman's Gulch, the Jovian Bandersnatch is a creature that lives on the red spot of Jupiter, which is a massive continent floating in gas. Hank Roper assisted Spurs in capturing one of these magnificent beasts.
It breathes enormous quantities of methane gas, expelling it in a fiery exhalation. Only carbon dioxide defends against its breath. The carbon dioxide extinguishes its flames, and forces the J.B. to take off by using its propeller-like wing appendages on the side of its head. This wears the J.B. out and permits its capture. It can be very tame in Earth's atmosphere, and can cover great distances in a single leap to offer fun sport in catching it again.
