Origin
Professor Floyd Jenkins was working on a chemical that could rapidly heal fatally-wounded soldiers. When Nazi spies broke into his lab to steal it, he quickly drank it thus making him accidentally swallow his gum. The spies roughed him up but, were chased off by people checking to see what all the noise was. The formula didn't do what the Professor had hoped but, it did have some kind of chemical reaction with the gum & gave him elongated powers. The effects do ware off about every 30 days. After doing this for so long, he has to continue doing this to keep his body from turning into a pile of goo.
He also developed a costume that can stretch with his body.
Extreme heat & extreme cold also affect him.
