Link Thorne, the “Flying Fool,” was a tough guy pilot who’d fly anywhere under any conditions: "will fly anything, anywhere, anytime--if it's worth my time...I'll go for a golden opportunity--if there's enough gold in it!" He ran Blockbuster Flight Service, an air charter service located near Shanghai, and was assisted by Wing-Ding.
