Origin[]
The fox is a character who appears in the 1929 cartoon, One Good Turn. The Fox helps to save Felix from a bear and to return the favor, Felix helps the fox from hunters who are after him.
The fox is particularly noteworthy for Felix's rather affectionate show of gratitude for his help, kissing the fox on the snout. This interaction has lead some members of the fandom to ship them together as a same-sex couple.
