General Bunzo is a Thimble Theatre character created by E. C. Segar in 1931, the head of the armed forces in King Blozo's island nation. An ambitious, treacherous military leader, Bunzo sought Blozo's throne for himself in the storyline in which he was introduced, "The Great Rough-House War", but he promptly changed his mind upon being handed the crown (and the kingdom's many problems) by the King himself.
