Early in their adventures on Christmas Eve, Peggy and Sarah Jane Deutchland encounter a toy rocking horse they decide to take for a ride. It is too fast for them, however, and they fall off with it running away without them, causing them to be on crutches for a short time. They soon heal and he soon returns to pull the pair and the rest of the Dutch dolls (12 in total) in a wooden cart.
