Origin[]
Driving near New Orleans during the time of Mardi Gras celebrations, Chris and Doris find their car is stalled due to a storm. Finding a stately, abandoned mansion, the pair settle in to wait until the engine is dry.
The ghost of Albert Landers appears, revealing he was murdered by his former partner, Richard Wilson. The ghost points out a loose brick in the fireplace, which hides a diamond necklace and an envelope. The necklace is worth about $50,000 in Chris's estimation. The ghost tells Chris and Doris to take the evidence to the police.
Chris goes to Richard Wilson instead to extort money from the man. The ghost of Albert Landers shows up, killing Wilson by giving him heart failure. Wilson knocks off an oil lamp as he passes, starting a fire. Albert's ghost lets the couple burn to death, keeping the door locked shut.
Powers and Abilities[]
The ghost of Albert Landers is incorporeal and cannot be physically harmed. He can appear invisible or translucent. He fires a deadly bolt from his fingers, manipulate locks, and induce fear in observers. He has a supernatural sense of events when he is seemingly not present.
