Origin[]
Jules Carter was an inexperienced actor cast as Hamlet only to be replaced on opening night with a famous European actor. In a heartbroken fit of desperation, the actor killed himself and became a ghost that haunts the theater as the Ghost of Hamlet causing harm to any actor who tried to play Hamlet.
The theater is eventually shut down until a century later it is bought by Tommy Beal who decided to stage the play again despite warns from the old stage hand Todd. The ghost begins to kill off cast members and almost kills Tommy's fiance Carrie until Todd tells the ghost she is not a member of the theater troop. Before the ghost disappeared, Tommy makes a deal to let Jules play Hamlet to lift the curse.
Then on opening night, Jules Carter summoned the ghosts of original cast of Hamlet and performs the play on a captive audience trapped in the theater by ghostly ushers. The audience however enjoyed the play and when it was over all the ghosts disappear. The morning after, Tommy and Carrie go to thank the stagehand Todd for all his help only to discover he was a ghost as well, the first stage doorman of the theater from 100 years before.
