The Giant of the Snows is a pipe-smoking, man-eating frost giant who has to be scared off with cannon fire. alone stood two metres tall, and contained within it two people controlling he eyes, mouth, ears and pipe of the creature. All in all the giant puppet was controlled by 12 different people, surely making it one of the most elaborate hand-puppeteered giant monsters in film history.
