Origins
The Grauballe Man was known as Ulrik, a Germanic Shaman in 3rd century BC, Denmark.
He was caught attempting to invoke one of the Dark Gods and his heresy was not tolerated. He was executed, having his throat cut, and thrown into the very bog he was using as a summoning point. The bog was mystically sealed and Ulrik's body was trapped for over 2000 years until archeologists discovered him in the 1950's. It was there that he awoke, alive once more after having absorbed the partial essence of the Dark God and becoming one of the most powerful magic users on the planet.
