Public Domain Appearances[]
- Jo-Jo, Congo King #7(a)
- Jungle Jo [nn] (possibly - in the issue's final story, Jo-Jo's mate went unnamed so no one knows which one of them this one was)
Notes[]
- Many sites claim that Tonda was a re-colored, re-printed, and re-named version of Gwenna, Geesha, Yolda, Safra, and Tanee however, Tonda debuted the year prior.
- Along with Yolda and Safra, Gwenna and Geesha also enjoy the unusual distinction of having been re-placed/named as a separate character in the exact same issue in which they debuted!
- Although she slots into the role of the aforementioned largely-identical love interests for the Congo King, Gwenna in her sole appearance under that name is not explicitly a romantic interest to him, simply being referred to as his "friend".
- While she was coloured as white, Gwenna seems to have been written as a native African in the script, which gives no explanation for a white woman ruling the Bonangi, and has one of the tribal elders refer to her "father" who followed the tribe's customs more than she does.
