Origin[]

The leader of an evil organization with a goal of "Universal Domination", the Hood was both the aunt and arch-nemesis of the Magician From Mars. As Aunt Kanza, the Hood refused to allow her niece to travel to Earth, even resorting to putting her in a "Supersteel Room" to keep her on Mars. As the Hood, she assembled an army which sought to conquer Earth and Mars.

The Hood knew her niece would be the greatest threat to her plans of conquest, and began to manufacture "sound-bombs" which killed people with agonizing sonic vibrations and drop them over Earth in order to kill her, but the Magician destroyed her bases on Earth.

The Hood then attempted an attack on Mars. The Magician led the Martian army to defeat the Hood's forces, but the Hood killed the man she loved, Prince Taal. Immediately after, the Magician from Mars discovered the Hood and her aunt were one and the same and swore vengeance on her.

Powers and Abilities[]

The Hood had the ability to become intangible and teleport. While intangible, she was immune to the Magician of Mars's powers. She boasted to the Magician that “she too had magical powers”, suggesting she had a further range of abilities, paralleling her niece's.

She had a massive secret army under her control. One of her operatives said that he forced her to do things against his will; it is unclear if she had powers of mind control or was simply resorting to blackmail.

Notes[]

Due to unclear lettering in the original comics, it is uncertain if her name is "Kanza" or "Vanza."
