Hunky was a small-time crook working the villainous Crime Boss. Both the heroic Mad Hatter and reporter, Barbara Blake, received tips on Hunky's whereabouts and planned on using that information to get the Crime Boss however, the Crime Boss first found Hunky stealing from him. Just as the Mad Hatter and Barbara each showed up, the Crime Boss tied them up and killed Hunky before making his own escape.
