Origin[]
Imar is one of the few successful inventors on the Isle of Phreex.
Imar has a sad face, but his eyes are pleasant and intelligent, and his brow thoughtful. He invented a flying machine that resembles a large silver bird and has room inside for two passengers.
Imar was arrested by the Brotherhood of Failings and charged with being a success, making him unfit to reside on the Isle of Phreex. The Kinglet of Phreex sentenced him to death, but his execution was postponed because Maria Simpson, the executioner, needed a day to properly sharpen her sword.
While he was imprisoned, John Dough and Chick the Cherub took his flying machine and escaped the island.
