Inchy Worm is a small Inchworm that gets chased by Wolfie at the end of The Old Shell Game. In The Oily Bird, all the creatures are settling in for the night including Inchy the worm. The Hawk tries to lure Inchy from his bed with flute music, placing him in a cook pot. Inchy escapes, only to have more attempts made on him. The hungry hawk offers him a peace treaty after tangling with a beehive. Many more attempts are made before Inchy defeats The Hawk, signified by the playing of "Taps."
