Joe is a seemingly innocent, silent bear seen walking around the New England forests decked in a sandwich board advertisement for a local fast food diner. When the chaotic squabble between Jerky Turkey and an unnamed Pilgrim hunter reached a critical point, they both spotted Joe's advert and decided to put aside their differences and eat at the restaurant. But upon arriving at their destination, the bear lead them inside and proceeded to devour them whole, revealing himself to be the eponymous owner of the business.

- Joe's Diner was often used as a placeholder name to evoke images of a particular type of low-cost, working-class restaurants by its patrons during the mid-20th century.
