Origin[]

King Bombo is the ruler of the kingdom of Blefuscu. He is depicted as a hot-tempered and impulsive character, quick to resort to drastic measures to resolve conflicts, even over petty matters. His anger is primarily fueled by a dispute with his former-friend and ally King Little of Lilliput over which song should be played at the wedding of his son, Prince David, to Princess Glory. This disagreement escalates to the point where he declares war on the neighboring kingdom, sending his spies to assassinate Gulliver.

Despite his fiery demeanor and rash decisions, King Bombo is also portrayed as having a softer, more jovial side when in a good mood. Despite their rivalry, he still has a close attachment to King Little, and also has a touch of comic foolishness, which adds a layer of humor to the conflict.
