Leona is a maid employed by the hotel run by Tom Bridges in the sleepy town of Cliffside. On vacation, Emmet Blake stops with his father, Inspector Blake, and Sally, a woman interested in Emmet. Leona reveals to them the death of Mr. Throckmorton, and accompanies them when they encounter Agnes Throckmorton, the wife of the deceased.
