Origin[]
Jeremy Fisher drops his line into the water and immediately has a bite. It is not a minnow but rather Little Jack Sharp, a mischievous small stickleback with shimmering scales. Jeremy winces as he pricks his fingers on Jack's spines, causing him to lose his grip, and Jack swiftly escapes. A mischievous shoal of little fish gleefully surface to mock Jeremy's failed attempt at catching Jack.
