Origin[]
Marc Holmes was a radio newscaster covering the Blitz. He realized the need to inspire his fellow Brits in their struggles against the Germans, so he became the costumed hero known as London. As London, Marc battled German spies in England. He had no superpowers. His catchphrase (or at least that of the strip) was "London can take it!"
The first supervillain London faced was the Nazi known as the Boar and his pet boar named Tong. His introduction comes after Leslie saves London’s life, attracting global attention that reaches Hitler, who then sends The Boar to challenge London.. Their final confrontation leads to the Boar being shot in the head by a British soldier.
