Peter and Wendy (1908)

Created by

J.M. Barrie

Margaret is the granddaughter of Wendy Darling, mentioned in passing in the final paragraph of Peter and Wendy. She is the daughter of Jane, and has adventures with Peter Pan when she is a girl. When she is grown and has a daughter, that child will do the same for as long as children believe in fairies.

The Peter Pan play is not public domain in England or the United States. Special legislation was passed that gave the play a perpetual copyright. The characters, however, are public domain (as are the novels).
