Origin[]

While investigation reports of giant bird in Skull Valley, a black flying saucer use a suction device to collect Sheriff Townley and Hank Roper to return the pair to the very small world of Nux. Anzo, Master of the Black World, tells them they collected the pair as specimens. When Hank discovers his six-guns are ineffectual in Nux's atmosphere, the pair bide their time and go along with their captors.

Anzo explains Earth's astronomers can't see Nux because the world is black. Anzo allows Hank to use a Nuxian telescope to look at Earth. Hank sees a group of Army tanks on maneuvers, and suggests Anzo have them retrieved as specimens.

The black flying saucers retrieve the entire group of tanks and equipment. On Nux, the different gravity situation does not diminish the firepower of the Army tanks, and the Nuxian invaders are quickly defeated. Nux falls from the sky. Hank directs the Army personnel and its tanks into a cave on Nux, going into the same cave with Sheriff Townley and the jeep.

Nux crashes in Skull Valley. Hank notes to Townley that, "We brought back the whole black world as a specimen, Sheriff!"

To which Sheriff Townley replies, "Yeah, Hank, and it looks like the biggest skull that ever did land in Skull Valley!"
