The Mechanical Cow is Oswald The Lucky Rabbit's one-time roommate. She skates on rollerskate horse shoes to help Oswald with his milk business, where she provides the milk, though she needs some prodding before setting off - she can open up her back to reveal a seat, extend her magnetic neck, and have her limbs dissembled and rearranged.
When a group of shady, crow-like figures kidnap Fanny, the cow rushes to help Oswald, who uses her powers to help him rescue his love. Oswald and Fanny end up falling off of a cliff and hanging by a thin twig - the cow believes them to have died, and kicks the crows into the water, where they are eaten by sharks, as an act of vengance - the sharks returning to the water after their meal creates a massive splash that Oswald and Fanny jump onto to return to land, and the trio run off into the sunset.
