Notes[]

Mickey satellite 2
  • The Disney Channel Countdown was released without a copyright notice, and not registered within 5 years, making it public domain under 1980s-era copyright law. The Mickey Satellite had previously appeared in a promotional poster for the then-upcoming channel in 1981, which also lacked a copyright notice - there was a copyright registry for some kind of Disney Channel material made in 1981, but it was not the poster as the registry lists "new text", while the poster has no text aside from the logo. As Mickey Mouse is already public domain, this iteration of the character is too.
  • The song featured in the Mickey Satellite idents, Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah, will not public domain until 2042, when Song of the South becomes public domain.
