Origin[]
Mika (meaning 'beautiful' or 'flower', with the affectionate "-chan" being a diminutive used for endearment) is the youngest sister of a family of kittens. Mika feels envious and uses any chance to start abusing the orphaned kitten Tora when her mothe shows generosity by sharing milk with him and subsequently adopts him into her household. After ending one of their arguments, Mika flees at a bout of grief. Tora sets out the next day to find her and bring her home safely, facing perils along the way. He eventually persuades Mika to come back thanks to his bravery and kindness, and they make amends.

- The Tora shorts are in the public domain due to most pre-1953 films being considered public domain in Japan, and didn't have their copyrights restored in the US by the URAA on January 1st 1996 due to already being public domain in their home country at the time. Meaning that they are public domain here too
