Origin[]
Dr. John Mornay, a marine biologist, is on a scientific expedition with his daughter Beth and her fiancé Richard. They are able to catch a shark, before a giant sea serpent suddenly jumps out of the water to eat the shark whole. It then destroys the boat, with Beth and Richard escaping by swimming to the shore. They presume Dr. Mornay is dead, while they worry about if the monster is still lurking in the bay. They then get a call from Dr. Mornay, who urgently asks for them to come to him and bring explosives and copper wires.
While driving, they get interrupted by two people warning them of a “two-legged beast” that has been slaughtering sheep around the area. Once they arrive, Dr. Mornay reveals that he survived the monster attack because the monster brought him to the shore. Determined to study the creature, he tried to feed it sheep to get it to stay in the area, but that ended up with the creature gaining a taste for blood.
Soon, everyone enacted a plan to kill the monster by strapping dynamite to a sheep carcass, but the marine biologist gets shot at by the aforementioned two people, who found out he killed the sheep. The scent of his blood attracts the monster, who starts to follow him. Beth and Richard place his bloodstained jacket on the explosive carcass. The monster grabs it with its jaws as the explosives go off, killing the beast. But in his dying breath, Dr. Mornay reveals the monster has laid an egg that hatched into a baby monster, which has also acquired a taste for blood.
